Catherine has lived in Wiltshire for over thirty years and can be seen out cycling or running in the county most days. As retired radiographer, Catherine understands the issues we face around air pollution, road safety and how climate change is affecting our health and wellbeing. Her experience in the NHS brings compassion and understanding of people’s individual situations and of people’s need to be involved in decisions that affect their lives. For years, Catherine has been engaging with her community on road safety, promoting active travel and encouraging sustainable choices for protection of the environment and nature.
She says ‘I am proud to have been selected by Wiltshire Green party to represent the residents of The Lavingtons at the forthcoming local elections. I care about communities and will do my best to work hard for local residents all year round. The Green Party never tell their councillors how to vote. So, I can be an independent voice for The Lavingtons, putting residents and not party politics first.’
If elected, Catherine will be the first Green Councillor on Wiltshire Council.
